We were suppose to be in the Sweet Suite. We were given a different cabin that had a great view of the Bay. The porch was unscreened and screened and a bigger cabin then the one we expected. The sheets and bathroom were clean. The rest of the cabin is in need of a serious updating. The flooring is so old it is rubbed through in places and was filthy. the cabinets I had to clean out and the dishes had to be cleaned before we could use any of them. It is in a wonderful location and I hope that the owners see fit to do the necessary updates to make for a nice experience.
I am sorry you found the other cabin unacceptable. We take great pride in making sure everything is clean. I wish you had called us immediately, as our policy states we will personally come and clean/fix anything that isn't right ourselves, and especially since you were staying 2 weeks. I so apologize. As far as the floors and updating, the owner is actually scheduled to come in March and is planning new floors. (the last cabin to get their new floors!) Rachel and Lanny
We got away with our little one(5) for a few days. The weather changed dramatically on us so we were unable to get out (on the beach & bay)most of the time there. We were grateful for the cute little cabin with all the necessities we needed.
I know, it was warmer in Jan. than this past week! So sorry, do come back and enjoy the rest of your vacation in the wonderful bay and beautiful beach! Thank you for staying with us.
We enjoyed staying there, but expected a few more pans, but then if you have to cook on a single hot plate, you can only use one at once. Surprised they had a full size small refrigerator. The bed was comfortable. I was a little scared to take our dogs out at night since there are bears around. One ran in front of us as we were coming home from #Blastonthebay, from Indian Pass Raw Bar. I gave the owner a list of things I wanted him to check on and he came and did it. Don't try to take the trail! It needs to be shut down as the boards in the little bridge were rotton and falling through.
Enjoyed the small charming cabin and being tucked into the trees. Perfect quiet getaway for two people and furry friend. It was great having such a pet friendly place with walking trails to explore, and we loved the pet welcome bag! Short distance to public beach and bay access and an easy drive into the state park or downtown Port St Joe. Can't wait to come back.
